Hands-On learning
A significant amount of learning is done while moving, interacting with peers, and sharing in conversation. SHLA students compete and engage regularly in academics, sports, art, drama, as well as music.
Field Trip Activities
Students participate in activities that help them get to know their community and how the world operates outside of the classroom, increasing their knowledge of God's creation.
Community Events
Once a month, SHLA gathers youth volunteers to participate in a service project, guiding them to make a positive impact in their communities, homes, and churches.
Servant Heart Leadership Academy has been an answered prayer for our family. After homeschooling for two years , we were looking for a Christian based private school for Maelee.
After meeting John and Mellisa Mendoza and hearing their heart we knew this was the right fit. Maelee has excelled in learning.
