Purposeful Service Beyond the Classroom
Our monthly community outreach programs go beyond academics, providing students with real-world experiences that encourage appreciation , resilience, and a sense of responsibility. Through hands-on activities, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships with local organizations, our students learn the importance of giving back and making a difference in the lives of others.
SHLA’s Monthly Community Outreach Initiatives
At Servant’s Heart Leadership Academy (SHLA), we believe in the transformative power of serving others and making a positive impact in our community. What is having a “servants heart”? Ephesians 6:6-8 (kjv) says:
“6 Not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bound or free.”
This is why we dedicate one day each month to meaningful, spirit-filling, community outreach initiatives, instilling in our students the value of compassion, empathy, and active citizenship.
Building Relationships and Meekness
Community outreach at SHLA is not just about providing assistance; it’s about building meaningful relationships and understanding the needs of our neighbors. Whether it’s volunteering at a nursing home, organizing food drives, or participating in environmental clean-up projects, our students develop meekness and a will to serve as they interact with diverse individuals and communities.
Impactful Learning Experiences
These monthly outreach initiatives also serve as impactful learning experiences, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. From teamwork and problem-solving to communication and leadership skills, our students gain valuable insights and practical skills that extend beyond the school walls.
Inspiring A Heart for Community Impact
Each month, we nurture a heart for service that extends far beyond their time at our school. We aim to inspire a lifelong commitment to service through students, educators, and families. Whether it’s through tangible results such as meals served, items donated, or families
