Servant's Heart Leadership Academy recruits boys and girls, grades 4-12, to participate in outreach opportunities that help the community around them. We believe that in order to be a great leader, you must be a great servant.

Our Story

As a young man who didn't have positive role models, I received so much wisdom, guidance and advice from people who helped me find my way, even when they didn't have to!

God provided the right people at the right time for the purpose He had for my life. My desire is to pay that forward in our own local community through Servant's Heart Leadership Academy.

I believe that every young person is gifted with unique strengths and has the ability, deep down, to lead others in some capacity! We plan to reach the youth of our community through our micro school, outreaches, community service events and one day operating out of a recreational center that will be open and available to all the youth of the Cedar Creek Lake area.

My son started Servants Heart Leadership Academy on day one of its opening. After having struggled to keep up in the public school system, feeling at a loss when his Kinder teacher explained that if she were to push him forward to 1st grade he would fall further and further behind, and being fearful of what the future would hold for my boy...God opened the doors of SHLA.

From the start of allowing him to attend the academy, I have watched him thrive in school. He’s getting one-on-one care that allows him to move at a pace that is comfortable for him. His confidence in his learning abilities is improving by leaps and bounds, and he no longer dreads going to school. On top of all of that, he is being fed the word of God, coming home and reciting scripture, and learning social and creative skills that were never available to him in the public school system. I can’t speak enough to the care and love being poured into my boy in this school and I’m forever thankful for the care, love, and patience that Mrs. Mendoza has poured over him.
